Panchakarma

Panchakarma is a special body and soul detoxification and purification treatment to eliminate the body’s excesses and toxins. The procedure begins with massage and fomentation to nourish the body and allow natural healing energies to be activated. The room is specially prepared, a fire ritual (arati) is performed, ending with meditation and chanting healing mantras.
Five phases of Panchakarma are designed to penetrate vital tissues of the body in order to uproot the source of aggravation and dislodge unwanted accumulations. These include:
Snechana (lubrication of internal organs by drinking ghee), Abhyanga (four hands massage with Ayurvedic oils), Nasja (cleaning of nasal passages), Svedana (healing herbal sweat inducing sauna), Virechana (purgation therapy i.e. cleansing bodily wastes through the lower pathways of the body).
Panchakarma therapy benefits everyone. It increases body heat and the flow of life-supporting oxygen; blood circulation, and restores the body’s natural system... Promoting vitality, strength, stamina and flexibility. Panchakarma also improves concentration, intelligence, confidence, esteem and youthfulness. It is ideal for individuals with stress and fatigue and an excellent way to reach harmony between body, mind and spirit.
